I sometimes wonder how often pets actually relate to their owner. When I got Atlas I didn't have any real intention of getting a dog, I wanted one, but wasn't so sure I had the time for one. Now I honestly don't know what I would do without him. I had taken a short trip to my aunts house last November so she could help me with my taxes, and we went over to her neighbors house just to see the dog she was trying to find a home for. The family had 4 dogs and as a disabled couple they couldn't keep up with all of them. They had taken in two of the dogs in order to avoid having them taken to the pound and planned on finding good homes for them on their own. At first Atlas seemed a little distant, but my heart won over the reluctance of my brain, and I ended up taking home the best dog in the world. Something I noticed shortly after I took him home, was that we share some of the same habits.
For one, we both love watching movies. (Atlas favors black and white films, and ones with animals)
We also both love cuddling
Neither one of us sleeps all that much, but we both roll around a lot when we are trying to sleep. (I think this ones partially my fault, because if I'm awake he feels like he has to be awake too just to make sure I'm ok)
We are both pretty photogenic
We are both great listeners
We both work well with others
We both love my bed (I know I know, most pets love beds, but I have cute pictures of this one lol)
And lastly we are both generally always happy, but every once in a while, we will have a sad day. (I'm not kidding, sometimes he's just down in the dumps no matter what I do to cheer him up).
I love this dog, and this dog loves me. I would not want to live without him. It makes me curious about other people and their pets. I would love to hear your stories =D
